Teratai Homestay - How to plan a Wedding?

After the proposal...the wedding have to be planned.
For the X and Y Generations the planning will start about 1 year before the actual Wedding Date.

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot  are usually done before  the Wedding. Nowadays pre wedding photoshoots are usually done overseas namely Melbourne, Perth or even Paris. 
Marriage Registration can be done before the Wedding or During the Wedding Ceremony.
 
Wedding Venue/- Wedding Homestay/ Church Wedding/ Garden Wedding/Wedding Date/Tea Ceremony.


Design Wedding Card/ Invitation Card, arrange to pass card to guest (by Hand or electronic media)

Transportaion/ Accomodations for Relative and friends from overseas/outstation. ( 1 driver and Car to ferry guests). Book Hotels or Homestay for Relatives, Homestay is cheaper.

Photographers need to be appointed. The price is about RM2800 covers the Wedding Ceremony and Night Dinner section.

Teratai Homestay - How to use MRT in Kuala Lumpur

The MRT line can be access from the other LRT Lines as follows:
a) Stop at Plaza Rakyat  station and walk to Merdaka station to get on MRT Line
b) Stop at Pasar Seni and get on the MRT Line
c) Stop or Park car at Maluri station on Ampang LRT Line and walk to Maluri MRT Line.
d) Stop at KL Sentral using the Monorail or Kelana Jaya LRT  and walk to Muzium Negara MRT line from KL Sentral. Entry point is at CIMB and Starbucks at KL Sentral.

Shopping areas with MRT Line stations are as follows:
a) Stop at Bandar Utama MRT station, cut across into TV3 building and walk to 1 Utama
Shopping Mall.
b) Stop at Maluri MRT station and walk to AEON shopping Mall and Velocity Shopping Mall.
c) Stop at Cochrane MRT station and walk to IKEA Cheras/ MyTown Shopping Mall
d) Stop at Pavillion MRT station and walk to Pavillion/Lot 10/ Sungei Wang/Bukit Bintang Area.
 (nearest exit to Pavillion is infront of  Zara, then use underpass in Fahrenheit Building to go into Pavillion Food Republic)
e) Stop at Muzium Negara MRT station and walk to NU Sentral Shopping Mall which located in KL Sentral.

b) Taman Midah station
c) Taman Suntex station
(Please use Touch n Go to park and take MRT , then come back to same station still using the same Touch n G and exit parking ) Note: You will be charged an expensive parking fees if you do not use the same Touch n G card all the way.

Teratai Homestay have hosted many Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony at Kota Perdana, Seri Kembangan for the past 4 years. The place will be the venue for the "Chut Mein" Ceremony, the brides parents/relative to stay for the duration of the Wedding function.

The place can accommodate about 15 pax with extra mattress. The place is fully air conditioned with 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms (all with water heater), Living area, Dinning area, Kitchen. The place is also decorated with chinese Double Happiness wordings/ wedding figurines/decorations.

There are 2 folding tables and some chairs to be placed outside for the Groom's men (Heng Tai) to sit. They will be subjected to many test/task/games. After which the Groom/and his men will be allowed into the Wedding Homestay.

The Tea Ceremony is an important part of Chinese Wedding Culture. The Bride and Groom will have to serve tea to their parents-in-law/ older relatives. It also serves as  a place to know who are the bride's relatives. The couple will then give "Ang pow" or Red packet to the relatives' children and the bride's younger sisters/brothers.

Normally gifts of Gold ornaments/cash in "Ang Pow" will be given to the newly wed during the tea drinking time. Then ceremony will end with a Photoshoot of theNewly Wed Couple with the Bride's parents/relatives/friends.
